In 1995, Arco van der Kaaij started his independent horticultural business on Poelkade in 's-Gravenzande. From the very beginning, the focus has been on retail.

As a total supplier of foliage plants and flowering garden plants, we have been supplying retailers, wholesalers and discounters with a varied assortment of plants since 2005. And we continue to do this with great enthusiasm every day.
Our business - consisting of several sites in Lansingerland and Westland - totals approximately 35 hectares. To optimally adapt the climate to the product, the cultivation floors in all the sites have several departments. In addition, each site has its own processing area and dock shelter(s), which means we can quickly process large volumes of plants and prepare them for transport.

To be able to deliver the growing number of orders, we soon rented several other sites.
2005
Name change / 10 hectares
In 2005, we acquired a 10-hectare site at Leeuwenhoekweg 74 in Bergschenhoek. And another milestone: we changed our name to Green'05 BV. Besides year-round cultivation of foliage plants, Leeuwenhoekweg also offered us the possibility to start production of seasonal plants. This is still our main site today.
2008
Fast grow / extra sites
Several years later, our rapid growth meant that we again needed more room. So in 2008, we opened an extra site at Hoogweg 15f in De Lier. Around the same time, a new site was also opened in Bleiswijk (Hoekeindseweg 111). At this site, we use movable tables: ideal for our Phalaenopsis.
2012
Reconstruction / expansion
After the reconstruction of the Laan van de Heilige Lambertus, another site was added in 2012. This time in 's-Gravenzande. In 2013, we sold the Hoogweg site in De Lier and bought a site at Hoekeindseweg 93 in Bleiswijk.
2016
Extra site
Then in 2016, we moved to our Oranjesluisweg 6A site in Naaldwijk.
Now
35 hectares of cultivation surface
Green'05 now has 35 hectares of growing surface. With an enthusiastic team, we continually work on improving cultivation results and product innovations. We also use rented sites so that, where necessary, we have access to extra growing surface and can fulfil the growing demand for our products.
